My Own Interactions is now Moi Calendar

Moi started on the iPad in 2015, as My Own Interactions. Most of the devices in homes and classrooms were iPads then, and a week wants room, so we made it for the big screen first and decided to worry about the rest if it ever caught on.

From the iPad to your pocket

Before long the most requested feature was a version for Android and for the phone. The old app had been built for the iPad alone: it could not run on Android, and fitting it to a phone would have meant reworking nearly all of it.

So in 2023 we rebuilt Moi from the ground up so it could leave the iPad and live where families are: on phones, on tablets, on Android. In 2026 it grew a proper name: Moi Calendar. The old address, myowninteractions.com, now brings you here.

Why there are two apps

When we rebuilt Moi in 2023 it became a new app in the App Store rather than an update to the old one: first as Moi – My Own Interactions 2, now Moi Calendar.

Can I move my calendar to the new app?

Not yet, and that is the honest answer: today the two apps do not share data.

We are building the move, an update to the original app that brings your calendar into Moi Calendar, years of pictures included, with nothing deleted from the iPad. Until it is ready, keep the original app; your calendar stays exactly as it is there. When it is ready, the original app will tell you, and so will this page.

Still Moi

Nobody ever really said My Own Interactions. From the first year, families, teachers and therapists called it the Moi calendar, so the name simply caught up with them.

Same smile on the icon, same blue, same Moi. Only the name grew up.
